ANDRES MARTIN, Juan Ramón de. La reacción realista ante las conspiraciones insurgentes en las fronteras y costas de Texas (1813-1816). Primeros antecedentes de la invasión de Javier Mina en 1817. Sig. his [online]. 2007, vol.9, n.18, pp.8-35. ISSN 1665-4420.

I train to explain in this paper the most important difficulties which the realists Spanish authorities confronted, principally the diplomatic representations at the USA, leaded by Luis de Onís at Philadelphia, to face to regular’s organizations and regroupings of the insurgents expeditions at the USA costs and frontiers, above all at Louisiana and Texas. The period that I study es also very important, because is established as transition since the great realist victory at Medina (Texas) in 1813, until the beginning of the preparative of Javier Mina’s insurgent expedition in 1816.

Keywords : Luis de Onís; Javier Mina; Bernardo Gutiérrez de Lara; Texas; Insurgent expeditions.
