Abstract

In the first decades of the XX century, a group of Argentinean intellectuals began to define the profile of an authoritarian and elitist tendency. Mobilized by political, social and intellectual insecurities, they were also victims of a gender uncertainty. It was a heterogeneous group linked by the inability of apprehending the sense of the transformations that you/they were taking place and that they affected at the most diverse levels in the public life, and of the private life. To make him in front of a situation that you/they understood chaotic they designed a series of strategies and social representations that allow to define them like integral part of an authoritarian right, opposed to the feminine and popular.
