Abstract

GARCIA-CERDA, L. A.; ESCARENO-CASTRO, M.U.  and  SALAZAR-ZERTUCHE, M.. Preparación de compósitos magnéticos mediante la síntesis in situ de nanopartículas magnéticas dentro de una matriz polimérica. Superf. vacío [online]. 2006, vol.19, n.1, pp.20-24. ISSN 1665-3521.

Magnetic particles were prepared by in situ precipitation and oxidation of Fe+3 and Co+2 within a hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. The magnetic nanocomposite was characterized by X-ray diffraction, and vibrational sample magnetometry. The nanoparticles were identified as cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) and had a well-defined crystalline structure. Magnetic measurements revealed that the magnetic nanocomposite is ferromagnetic. The combination of different ferrite content and obtaining temperatures allowed the preparation of samples with magnetization values between 0.568 and 2.9126 emu/g.

Keywords : Magnetic materials; Cobalt derrite; Nanocomposite; Polymer matriz; Magnetometry.
