Abstract

The famous “drama in characters” (heteronymic group conformed of Alberto Caeiro, Ricardo Reis and Álvaro de Campos) of Fernando Pessoa gives occasion to reflect on the concepts of subject and subjectivity. From my perspective, such a drama consists in the staging of the subject’s struggle to be constituted as such. My purpose is to determine the discursive strategies through which it is achieved, from the analysis of “Notes to Remember my Teacher Alberto Caeiro”.
