Abstract

The essay presents a critial analise on science and technology for social inclusion, as has been implemented in the programs of the National Secretariat of Science and Technology for Social Inclusion (SECIS) in Brazil. Get something on the subject, considering its implementation in the particularity of the historical formation of the Brazilian state. Initially the text presents information on the programs financed by the SECIS. Then, these programs are analyzed from the scientific and technological policies. This way possible to show that science to social inclusion is implemented from a linear model, drawn by academics, for academics, representing serious limits on its performance as a public and social policy.
