The aim of this study is to determine the competences that college students perceive as most important in teaching and learning process. To this end, the questionnaire was administered to the "Cuestionario para la Valoración de las Competencias del Profesorado" to a group of fourth-year students Civil Engineering CUJAE (Havana). The results indicate that college students require Civil Engineering of teachers, as well as the scientific-longer-personal skills and social / participatory.
