Abstract

RAMIREZ PLASENCIA, David  and  CHAVEZ ACEVES, Lázaro. El concepto de mediación en la comunidad del conocimiento. Sinéctica [online]. 2012, n.39, pp.01-16. ISSN 2007-7033.

Mediation is traditionally understood as an intentional action, usually undertook by teachers that looks to change a behavior in educational social interactions. However, the use of the information and communication technologies in distance education requires us to rethink this concept, questioning its vertical and one-dimensional character. Given the incorporation of Web 2.0 tools and social networks in online courses, the challenges and reaches of mediation concept have expanded.

Keywords : mediation; social networks; knowledge community.
