Abstract

TOPETE BARRERA, Carlos; BUSTOS FARIAS, Eduardo  and  BUSTILLOS RAMOS, Elva Severiana. Gestión del conocimiento para promover la productividad académica de los institutos tecnológicos en la sociedad del conocimiento. Sinéctica [online]. 2012, n.38, pp.1-15. ISSN 2007-7033.

In the knowledge society there is a complex and changing environment, whose main process is digitalization; in which the traditional paradigm of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) is no longer consistent with the social demands in this context. This is why higher education is relying on knowledge as a differentiating factor in productivity and wealth creation, investing intellectual capital in competitive processes. Technological Institutes in our country are still not properly organized in this extent, not being able to promote their academic productivity and ensure their competitiveness. This research proposes a Knowledge Management model for these higher education institutions, considering new forms of academic work, such as collaborative work across networks and communities of practice; the use of associated tools to the Technologies of Information and Communication (TIC), as well as evaluation criteria, among others, in order to create the necessary conditions and convert their management processes, with the aim of ensuring social relevancy so that they can be smart learning organizations.

Keywords : knowledge society; knowledge management; academic productivity; intellectual capital; intelligent organization.
