The present paper offers an outlook of the program "Collaborative Projects" (CP). This program is a strategy by the Department of Design of the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) in Mexico City, to foster the formation of designers within uia's own ideals and educative philosophy and not from the framework that neoliberalism dictates. The program has been developing for almost twelve years and has allowed confronting the educative approaches from both visions.
