Abstract

This article aims four objectives about methodological aspects trough the main issues in Latin American Comparative Politics agenda: first, to rethink the usefulness that comparative method can acquire; second, to explain the main strategies for discover how to describe through concepts; third, to analyze how to operationalize these concepts; an fourth, to analyze to what extent do the concepts serve to decode empirical situations, and vice versa. The article looks for contribute to the politic science epistemology at Latin America, specifically about methodologies construction.
