FERNANDEZ BATANERO, José María. Teaching Competences and Inclusive Education. REDIE [online]. 2013, vol.15, n.2, pp.82-99. ISSN 1607-4041.

This paper focuses on teaching competencies that are conducive to good educational practices in relation to inclusion, from the perspective of teachers. The methodology employed in the study is descriptive/comprehensive, and of an exploratory nature. By means of four case studies, the perceptions of teachers from two secondary schools-characterized by the Spanish Educational Administration as having "good practices"- are examined. The techniques used for information collection in this study include documentary analysis, in-depth interviews and focus groups. The findings emphasize the importance of strategic skills, combined with innovation and creativity, among others.
