Abstract

This article pays especial attention to the construction of local citizenship through different practices done by social organizations in two indigenous regions of Mexico. This problem is situated on the actual discussions of political anthropology were cultural analysis over self vindications on social movements has strengthened. The organizations we analyze establish for themselves goals over the control of power to confront or negotiate with the State, and as they generate economical and political proposals for the improvement of the life conditions of the indigenous.
