The Productive Business Community Center (CPEC in Spanish) is a program that addresses women of vulnerable areas of Zapopan, Jalisco. Its objective is the promotion of the empowerment in the work environment, as well as in family and personal areas. Following a mixed methodology, an investigation was carried out to determine the factors behind the phenomenon of the drop out of the program of the beneficiaries. Hereby it was possible to identify the psychosocial factors involved in the level of impact of the program. The evidenced findings are mainly related to gender practices as the role of a mother and the household management. From the above, an analysis is presented regarding the structuring of social programs focused on women and their strengthening, considering the specificities of the female gender and their roles.
