Since the moment women have massively entered the labor market, the sexual division of work has become problematic as the demands of “care” continue to be an unavoidable issue for life. The social devaluation regarding “care” in our countries - where the Estate is a subsidiary in terms of care towards society - is solved, in the best cases, with the externalization and mercantilism of care services for women who are subordinated for their gender, social class, ethnic background, etc. Thus, my objective is to discuss about the category of care, aiming to account for the various types of relations established in terms of exploitation, transfer and externalization. Care, as a whole, puts forward the existing tension in the struggle for women’s autonomy by paradoxically acknowledging the human vulnerability as an essential part of the vital and political being.
