Abstract
ORTIZ SANCHEZ, Karen Barenka and PENA, Sergio. Mobility and the right to the city: The BRT in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua 2010-2016. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.71, pp.281-307. Epub Mar 17, 2023. ISSN 2448-6183. https://doi.org/10.22136/est20231898.
Mobility is a crucial issue for urban residents since it is a mean to access goods and services that the city offers, therefore, the right to the city. A quantitative methodological approach was employed by estimating three indices: location quotient, Gini coefficient, and an accessibility index. The results show that the BRT has had a marginal impact, in terms of accessibility and the right to the city, for residents living in the city’s periphery.
