Abstract

ROJAS, Karla  and  AGUILAR, Adrián Guillermo. Probability of health access for poor people in the Metropolitan Area of Cuernavaca, Morelos in 2018. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.67, pp.835-864.  Epub May 25, 2022. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20211761.

Based on a social stratification at the block scale and through the generation of service areas, the probability of access to the first level of health to poor groups in the Metropolitan Area of Cuernavaca, Morelos is estimated. As a result, the poor settled in the outskirts of the metropolitan area are those who show a lower probability of access, despite having greater pedestrian access. The research confirms the centralization of public health services and indicates that these are essential to avoid the deepening of poverty, which gives rise to the formulation of health and mobility policy.

Keywords : health services; poverty; physical access.
