Abstract

In this article we analyzed the impact of technological change on the labor market in the manufacturing sector. For wich, the empirical test of the hypothesis of biased technological change (HCTS) was performed. Using a panel data the average elasticity of substitution of skilled relative to unskilled in regions of Mexico for the period 2005-2014 was estimated work. Through this analysis it was found that in this sector the relative demand for labor is more sensitive to unskilled labor.
