Abstract

SANCHEZ-SANTILLAN, N.  and  GARDUNO-LOPEZ, R.. El clima, la ecología y el caos desde la perspectiva de la teoría general de sistemas. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2007, vol.8, n.3, pp.183-195. ISSN 2594-0732.

Classic deterministic science confronts difficulties to approach and explain complex phenomena, like those concerning the study of climate, ecology or human societies. A new scientific paradigm, the holistic vision, has been gradually filling the gaps left by the old mechanicist approach, and along with Newton's mechanicism, has incorporated Information theory, cybernetics, chaos theory and, general systems theory, among others. These last two theories are analyzed with a superficial approach to climatology and ecology issues.

Keywords : Systems; chaos; climate; ecology; models.
