Abstract

ARCUDIA-ABAD, C.E.; SOLIS-CARCANO, R.G.  and  CUESTA-SANTOS, A.R.. Propuesta tecnológica para incrementar la productividad en la construcción masiva de vivienda. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2007, vol.8, n.2, pp.59-69. ISSN 2594-0732.

A technology was developed to proactively in crease the productivity of the human resource, particularly for housing construction in Yucatan. The theoretical model considers the effect of each one of the three types of factors, those of: input, process, and the context that sur rounds to the site where the work is made. The application procedure consists of two main stages: the creation of data base and analysis of new projects. In the first one, a construction activity is selected and the basic information on the indicators of factors and the productivity, including the number necessary of projects to be able to apply the statistical analysis, is gathered. In the second one, after the base is ready, the new cases can be treated in which it is possible to make proactive decisions to modify the productivity. In order to validate the technology two projects of housing construction were analyzed. In them, the differences in the results between making or not proactive decisions could be contrasted. The productivity results obtained in both projects were different, being superior those of the case in where the decision to adopt a proactive conduct was taken.

Keywords : Productivity; construction; human resources management; technology; housing; decision making.
