Abstract

SOTELO-ROSAS, O.E.  and  RAMIREZ-CARRERA, L.C.. Del método científico al diagnóstico de problemas de ingeniería en México. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.2, pp.139-146. ISSN 2594-0732.

If it is lacked a clear system to make the problematic situation diagnostic, will be an obstruction in the definition of objectives process, key in the decision situations solution. Therefore, mistaken solutions can occur, that do not correspond to the necessities that must be taken care of in the enterprise systems. The detection of a methodologic emptiness in this sense is the fruit of a revision to fifty Master degree theses elaborated between 2000-2004 years, and to the application of fifty surveys to posgrado's students of the Technological Institute of Orizaba. This field study justifies the elaboration of a sure reliable and simple method that it diminishes the ambiguity and complexity when the engineering problems solutions look for. We used the qualitative investigation method, whose main scientific objective is the understanding of the phenomena by means of the analysis of the perceptions and interpretations of the people that make the investigation. Bymeans of analogy discernment between the scientific method and the beginning of the decision process, and as fun da mental part of this project, we pro pose an “Integral Process of diagnosis to solve a problematic situation”, using TQM tools. The proposed model was validated in a region of Orizaba Company, whose report is outside to the reach of this article.

Keywords : Scientific method; problematic situation; diagnostic; engineering problems solutions; total quality management (TQM).
