Abstract

Demography and the multiple relationships between the rapid growth of world population and development, have been the center of international debate since the end of World War II. Many conclutions of the Population Conference in Cairo, -celebrated in 1994- inspired the Millennium Declaration of the Heads of State in 2000 and several demographic nature objectives included among the "Millennium Development Goals", which should be reached in 2015. Now we have to ask what are the new keys, the new goals that can guide the actions of governments and the international community after 2015. To those goals are reproached today -plus other deficiencies- not include the inseparable binomial development-sustainability.
