Abstract

CADENA VARGAS, Edel  and  CAMPOS ALANIS, Juan. Vulnerabilidad social y comportamiento electoral: Un análisis por secciones electorales. Pap. poblac [online]. 2012, vol.18, n.71, pp.143-185. ISSN 2448-7147.

This article analyzes the relationship between electoral behavior and social vulnerability at the level of sections and districts from 1990 to 2009. The indicators used are: competitiveness, volatility and electoral loyalty, correlating them with the social vulnerability index, index built with eight census variables. Find that by using smaller units of territorial breakdown, it is possible to see more diversity in electoral behavior, depending on social class and place in question.

Keywords : electoral behavior; social vulnerability; competiveness; volatility; electoral loyalty.
