Abstract

VARGAS-GONZALEZ, Pablo. Conflict in the process of metropolis becoming in the City of Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, 1970-2010. Pap. poblac [online]. 2011, vol.17, n.68, pp.127-146. ISSN 2448-7147.

The aim of this study is to analyze the characteristics of metropolitan-becoming process of the city of Pachuca, from the perspective of the urban/metropolitan area as urban policy and local power, where there are implicit and explicit interests that propitiates vacuums and lack of rules as parts of a form of "urban regime" and that creates problems and conflicts of political and social nature. We analyze the conflict in the agreements to recognize the problem and manage the metropolitan area of the city of Pachuca.
