Abstract

The intention of the article is to establish the shaping of the economic security of the elderly in the State of Mexico, based on the revenues and assets they possess. The results from 2008 ESEDEM survey verify the hypothesis that economic security is closely related to the socio-demographic profile of the elderly and shows serious disadvantages for the groups which present characteristics associated with higher exclusion levels.
