Abstract

This article explores the entire migratory experience of female Central American migrant workers who work as sex workers on the southern border of Mexico, particularly between the state of Chiapas and Guatemala, from the moment they decide to migrate, cross the border, until they begin working in this economic sector. It also endeavors to understand the dynamic relationship that these women have with their context and the role that social networks play during the migratory process.
