This article is devoted to the employment analysis in indigenous zones. First of all, it deals with the participation level in economic activities of the population according to their social and demographic characteristics that are related to such participation, like sex, age, level of education and the person's place at the household. The domestic duties are considered as well as the work production for own consumption that let survive the indigenous families. On fact reveled is that the infant work is not marginal and there are analized the causes for not attending school. Further, the structural aspects of the labor force in the indigenous zones are depicted in order to know the main activities performed and under which status are done. Some labor conditions are described, such as the absence of labor and social benefits and the low income obtained, regardless that they work full days. Finally, looking overall the analyzed aspects, it becomes clear the marginality among the indigenous groups, but also the analysis suggests some ways to depict policies to improve such condition.
