Resumen
CASTELLANOS GUERRERO, Alicia. Notas para estudiar el racismo hacia los indios de México. Pap. poblac [online]. 2001, vol.7, n.28, pp.165-179. ISSN 2448-7147.
The article points out the continuity of the conflict between the State, Nation and indian people, and suggest lines of research. It sustains that the State is one of the elements that participates in the racism reproduction inside institutional level, but there are dynamics of relations in which other actors in different power positions are involved. Then, discourses and practices toward indians have to be studied through dominants and non dominants identities and the spaces of daily life to find out the sense and forms of racism. At the same time, it is important to recognize the ideologies that hides racism. The dominant regional systems and historical process that shape the nature of the relations between indians and non indians are the substratum to identify racism peculiarities. Within the region, the city becomes the ideal space for its study because of the intense interaction between the diversity of groups that integrate regional societies.
