Abstract

RIPAMONTI, Paula Cristina  and  LIZANA, Patricia Claudia. Academic Trajectories in Terms of Resistant Uniqueness: Educational Research through Young People's Autobiographical Narratives. RMIE [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.85, pp.291-316.  Epub Aug 17, 2020. ISSN 1405-6666.

This article describes the results of research aimed at reconstructing the academic trajectories of young people in the final years of secondary school, through their autobiographical narratives. The study's basic assumption was that narrated school experiences allow one to approach the subjective dimension of trajectories in terms of their complexity, while addressing the temporality of theoretical journeys, and attaching new meaning to real journeys in terms of vital, resistant uniqueness. The study was qualitative, based on the method of narrative autobiographies, and carried out in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. In-depth interviews as dialogic encounters formed the core of the research and the analysis considered a double character: vertical (each story) and horizontal (common and diverging aspects in tension with institutional matrixes).

Keywords : educational research; secondary school; academic trajectory; autobiography; young people.
