Abstract

VILLALOBOS DELGADO, Violeta; AVILA PALET, José Enrique  and  OLIVARES O., Silvia Lizett. Problem-based Learning in Chemistry and Critical Thinking in Secondary School. RMIE [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.69, pp.557-581. ISSN 1405-6666.

The objective of this study was to determine if problem-based learning in secondary school chemistry favors the development of critical thinking. A mixed method with a quasi-experimental design was used with a experimental group and a control group. The instruments were the critical thinking section of the Individual Generic Skills Test, and a semi-structured focus interview on critical thinking. The results indicated that such a methodology promotes the skills of evaluation and self-regulation.
