Abstract

CUEVAS DE LA GARZA, José Fernando  and  DE IBARROLA NICOLIN, María. Learning in Simultaneity: Employed Students' Perspectives of the Knowledge and Skills They Construct. RMIE [online]. 2015, vol.20, n.67, pp.1157-1186. ISSN 1405-6666.

This article reflects on employed students' construction of knowledge and skills, based on their own appreciations and perspectives; these students are viewed as individuals who interact directly between school and the world of work. Using the interrelation of three linked concepts-learning, knowledge, and competence-the study reviews and organizes the students' perceptions of what they have learned in their institution of higher education as well as in their place of work; particular consideration is given to the learning derived from their daily movement between the two contexts.

Keywords : students who work; relation between education and employment; construction of knowledge; competencies; México.
