Abstract
MONROY SEGUNDO, Vianey. The Professional Identities of Novicie Teachers in Terms of Ethical Intent. RMIE [online]. 2013, vol.18, n.58, pp.789-810. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article presents the main findings of research that compiles the experience of novice teachers with respect to the constitution of their professional identity, based on a perspective of ethics. Ethics is not reduced to the morality of obligation, but corresponds to a desire for self-improvement with and for others at fair institutions. The article compiles the biographies of elementary school teachers that narrate their experiences before and during their initial training, as well as their relationships with other significant individuals, such as parents, teachers, friends, or students at the schools where they complete their student teaching. These experiences have configured self-improvement projects that are organized into three identities: egotistical, focused on others, and agent.
