Abstract

CATALAN, Lidia Cecilia; SERRANO, Graciela María  and  CONCARI, Sonia Beatriz. Construcción de significados en alumnos de nivel básico universitario sobre la enseñanza de Física con empleo de software. RMIE [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.46, pp.873-893. ISSN 1405-6666.

This paper analyzes the construction of meanings of two topics-electric field and potential-among students in basic university physics. Exploration is focused on the representations of engineering students when they use computer simulations in guided problem-solving activities involving electrostatic potential and field at various times during the learning process. The results show that neither theoretical/practical classes nor activities with simulations are sufficient for producing profound restructuring in representations, and as a consequence, in the construction of meanings close to the scientific model, in spite of student interest.
