Abstract

This article suggests integration in a theoretical body of the expression of otherness generated by students in school dynamics. The situation of school violence and the growing disunion evidenced in school sectors invites us to discover new interpretative horizons that contribute to a better education. For this reason, a study was made of forty-five students through anecdotal records and verbal reports. The result was a set of categories that permit the study of otherness in the educational setting. In addition, a new view of the educational ethos is postulated.
