Abstract

Given the growing interest, within the new paradigm, in the processes of learning how to learn, skill-based training is presented as an alternative that favors the integration of theory and practice, especially if efforts are made to stimulate the processes of individualizing or personalizing knowledge. Reflection on the specifics of cognitive skill from a perspective of configuration and personology, with a definition of different meanings of the term, is presented as a coherent alternative to the principles of the new educational paradigm. This paradigm considers the individual as the center of teaching and learning processes, leading to inevitable impact on educational research.
