Abstract

CORIA, Adela; ALTERMAN, Nora  and  SOSA, Marcela. La escuela media en argentina: entre regulaciones e iniciativas escolares. Un análisis a partir del caso de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. RMIE [online]. 2007, vol.12, n.32, pp.183-205. ISSN 1405-6666.

This article contextualizes the profound, historical state of crisis of secondary education in Argentina. Through case studies, a specific analysis is made of the problem in the province of Córdoba. The central hypothesis recognizes a progression from reforms associated with neo-liberal policies, to new ways of understanding secondary school within a framework of policies of equality. This change is occurring in spite of the absence of new regulations to modify, in structural terms, the school organization, teaching work, and the conditions for institutionalizing new ideas for school and students. In an attempt to determine how schools construct the ideas of the future, the logic of projects is analyzed: institutional and school projects, students’ projects and their problems, as well as projects’ links with academic trajectories and the conditions of teaching work.

Keywords : secondary education; crisis; young people; policies; Argentina.
