Science museums offer formal education the possibility of using their exhibits as didactic materials for topics that are difficult to present in the classroom. Quantum mechanics is a complex topic, but it is believed that any person with a scientific education should learn its principles. The teaching of quantum mechanics requires the support of informal educational resources, including the interactive equipment of science museums. This article evaluates the understanding of high school physics teachers of a quantum mechanics exhibit at the Science Museum of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
