Abstract

This project is an institutional study that analyzes the views of the actors in charge of educational integration. The participants were directors, teachers, technical personnel and parents involved in two elementary schools. In-depth interviews were used to discover their perspectives of the project. The analysis of the information shows that the actors' practice is based on their position in the school structure, and on their personal and academic profile. The conclusion is that the project is an instituted but not a constituted practice, and that it is sustained by personal actions of daily institutional interaction, regardless of whether or not they adhere to official norms.
