SERNA M., Edgar; MARTINEZ M., Raquel  and  TAMAYO O., Paula Andrea. A Model for Determining the Maturity of Automation of Software Testing as a Research and Development Area. Comp. y Sist. [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.2, pp.337-352. ISSN 2007-9737.  https://doi.org/10.13053/cys-21-2-2723.

This article proposes a model to determine the current maturity of test automation as an area of research and development in the software industry. The process and the results of a research that aims to determine the maturity level of automation is described. A systematic review of the literature in which 978 papers were found where are described the models of maturity of software testing and/or analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of automation was performed. After a process of analysis and apply the inclusion/exclusion criteria and quality assessment 26 papers were extracted. The final conclusion is that the current maturity level of automation of software testing is teenager.
