Abstract

MENDOZA, Luis E.; PEREZ, María A.  and  GRIMAN, Anna C.. Prototype of Software Quality Systemic Model (SQSM). Comp. y Sist. [online]. 2005, vol.8, n.3, pp.196-217. ISSN 2007-9737.

In the world-wide context a set of models to assess Software Systems quality are been generated, these models represent the characteristics to be met by products/services in order to compete in a global and open market. The models must be formulated based on the competitive characteristics for every kind of Software System, considering the high human participation in software development process. Starting from these premises, this research proposes the Prototype of Software Quality Systemic Model (SQSM) -in Spanish: MOdelo Sistémico de CAlidad (MOSCA) - to evaluate Software Systems quality, it integrates the Product Quality model and the Development Process Quality model, supported by the concepts of the Systemic Total Quality. MOSCA was proven in two Venezuelan software systems developing companies, using the Feature Analysis Case Study Method, indicated by DESMET methodology.

Keywords : Quality model; Software product evaluation; Software process evaluation; Software quality; Systemic quality; Case study.
