The rational use of insecticides requires previous evaluation of the effectiveness of the chemicals to be used. This may reduce the use of non-effective products and prevent rising production costs and pollution. To facilitate bioassays in the laboratory, susceptibility values (LD₅₀) of 64 insecticides and acaricides for 33 species of arthropods are presented. These LD₅₀ could be used to determine susceptibility or resistance of these species in México.
