Abstract

VILLARREAL-Q., José A.  and  ESTRADA-C., Eduardo. The genus Gentianopsis (Gentianaceae) in Mexico. Polibotánica [online]. 2011, n.32, pp.1-7. ISSN 1405-2768.

The genus Gentianopsis (Gentianaceae) is distributed in temperate and cold regions of the Northern Hemisphere. In Mexico there is one species with two varieties, one endemic and the other reaching the southwestern United States. Ma var. superba (Greene) Villarreal & A.E. Estrada. A synopsis of the genus is given; it includes keys to identify the taxa, descriptions, and ecological and distributional information.
