Abstract

ROMAN-REYES, Patricia; PADRON-INNAMORATO, Mauricio  and  RAMIREZ-GARCIA, Telésforo. Labor and family: how to articulate this fragile relationship?. Convergencia [online]. 2012, vol.19, n.60, pp.229-253. ISSN 2448-5799.

From a theoretical review on the concept of family in relation to the study of labor market, and by means of the performance and analysis of a series of interviews to family groups that develop his labor activity in micro-business, we propose to inquire into the link labor/family aiming at identifying how they articulate labor and family in their relation with labor market in a specific niche of it. Through the interviews we managed to recognize the workers in their differences and so better comprehend the sense and orientations that working with the family purchases so much for them and for all their domestic units.

Keywords : labor; family; production; reproduction; survival.
