In the context of current global crises and the hegemony crisis, the problem of new forms of violence is discussed. A particular emphasis is made on the role culture, in general, and information, in particular, play in said forms. To avoid falling into culturalism some reflections are made about the factors with an effect on violence, which go beyond culture.
