It is attempted to show how the communication of meanings and contents of collective memory in the zone of the Valley of Toluca, State of Mexico, Mexico, allows treasuring the lacustrine past and contrasting it with the current industrial environment, this enables us to construct and alternative narration of what nowadays has gone missing in respect to the past, providing with a critical meaning the occurrences along time.
