Abstract

This study starts with a theoretical review about the empowerment to understand the changes among rural women who participate in the CODIMUJ which is an organization that helps them to wake their gender consciousness up in Chiapas. We are presenting some tools and strategies followed to impulse women's empowerment, which is based on Bible readings and on the women's groupal participation. We have made an historical survey of this experience, considering the observation and analysis of women's experiences and their adviser's testimonies.
