Abstract

ELJACH, Matilde. Un Territorio Blanco para María Mandinga. Convergencia [online]. 2005, vol.12, n.37, pp.115-133. ISSN 2448-5799.

A diversity of cultural appropriation settings generated in the Colon. How did the inclusion of the enslaved woman in the colonial territory take place? How did her presence express itself? What is her legacy? How do we re-create and identify our African grandmothers today? The social fabric that slaves descen dant black women have silently woven for the conservation and communication of values and genetic and cultural codes reveals not only in the skin color, but also in their blood, their language, their oral discourse, their religiousness, their gastronomy, their daily life, their rebelliousness cry.

Keywords : Colony; africans; slavery; territory; woman; feminine construction; resistance.
