This text seeks to clarify the history of subjective experiences. Taking the work of the theorist of history Reinhart Koselleck as a guiding thread, the article explains how to solve the problem of a history of the emotions of long duration, while laying the foundations for overcoming, in the field of the history of emotions, a historicist localism. The history of the conditions of possibility of experience, the study of what constitutes a novelty and what, on the contrary, presents itself as a structure of repetition, is at the basis of this new and not so new history of experience. Far removed from problems of a semantic nature, or from the history of political concepts, the article argues for an anthropologically based philosophy of history.
