Abstract

Later to the accidental ingestion of a strange body, most is expelled with the defecation or they are extracted by means of endoscopy; 1% requires surgical treatment. The perforation of the esophagus, with the appearance of late dysphagia, motivated the present communication.
Case report:
38-year-old man, in a festival activity, checked the loss of his dental prosthesis of his arcade it would jag superior. Seven years later, it began to present slight nuisances for the solid foods, four years later the dysphagia is to the liquids. It is entered in our hospital, checking the presence of a stenosis high of the esophagus for external compression, it is operated and a located fibrous mass was extirpated at level of the strait thoracic superior in fascia vertebral pre that compressed and it occluded the esophagus containing in its interior a dental prosthesis.
Conclusions:
An uncommon case of dysphagia high esophagus is presented by external strange body, the selected surgical access was the road transcervical, allowing the elimination of the cause of the dysphagia and to carry out the mobilization of the esophagus and the suture of the lesion.
