Abstract

T. GOMEZ, María et al. Inestabilidad de muestras obtenidas durante la hidrodesintegración de residuos del petróleo. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2003, vol.47, n.4, pp.307-312. ISSN 0583-7693.

In this work the stability of samples obtained during the catalytic hydrocracking of Maya vacuum residue was studied. The stability was analyzed by means of the quantification of total sediments with the ASTM D 4870 method, in which some modifications in terms of amount of sample and filtration time were done. The experimental tests were carried out by two analysts in different days. On the basis on a statistical analysis good repeatability of the method was found and the sample remains stable when determinations were conducted in the first two days of sample storage. For periods of time higher than two days the sample exhibited instability, which was attributed to olefins polymerization.

Keywords : stability; sediments; hydrocracking.
