Abstract

BORCEGUI-RUBIO, Juan; CHAVEZ, María Isabel  and  DEL RIO-PORTILLA, Federico. Aplicaciones de la medición precisa de constantes de acoplamiento en resonancia magnética nuclear. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2001, vol.45, n.4, pp.200-205. ISSN 0583-7693.

Several methods for accurate measuring coupling constants are shown. Coupling constants are measured by modified J doubling to simplify and facilitate complex multiplet interpretation. Small coupling constants are measured when they are immersed in the line width for borneol signals. Coupling constants of azo naphtols are measured when a proton, methyl and methoxy groups are interchanged in the molecule. It is shown that modified J doubling has ± 0.03 Hz of accuracy in favorable cases

Keywords : J doubling; spin-spin coupling constant; deconvolution; convolution; azo naphtols; borneol.
